Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 11,   Pages 1579-1601 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100551

Abstract:

To meet a growing demand for information processing, brain-inspired neuromorphic devices have been intensively studied in recent years. As an important type of neuromorphic device, have attracted strong attention. Among all the kinds of materials explored for the fabrication of , s (NCs) have become one of the preferred choices due to their excellent electronic and optical properties. In this review, we first introduce the research background of based on semiconductor NCs and briefly present the basic properties of semiconductor NCs. Recent developments in the field of based on semiconductor NCs are then discussed according to the materials employed in the active layers of the devices. Finally, we discuss existing problems and challenges of based on semiconductor NCs.

Passive mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser pulse generation based on titanium disulfide saturable absorber Research Articles

Xinxin Shang, Linguang Guo, Huanian Zhang, Dengwang Li, Qingyang Yue,huanian_zhang@163.com,qingyangyue@sdnu.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 5,   Pages 615-766 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2000341

Abstract: In this study, (TiS) polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film-type (SA) is synthesized with a modulation depth of 5.08% and a saturable intensity of 10.62 MW/cm by liquid-phase exfoliation and spin-coating methods. Since TiS-based SA has a strong nonlinear saturable absorption property, two types of optical soliton were observed in a mode-locked Er-doped . When the pump power was raised to 67.3 mW, a conventional mode-locked pulse train with a repetition rate of 1.716 MHz and a pulse width of 6.57 ps was generated, and the output spectrum centered at 1556.98 nm and 0.466 nm spectral width with obvious Kelly sidebands was obtained. Another type of mode-locked pulse train with the maximum output power of 3.92 mW and pulse energy of 2.28 nJ at the pump power of 517.2 mW was achieved when the polarization controllers were adjusted. Since TiS-based SA has excellent nonlinear saturable absorption characteristics, broad applications in ultrafast photonic are expected.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 6,   Pages 809-962 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900529

Abstract: formed by fabricating microstructures on the substrates have two important characteristics, ultra-light mass (surface mass density < 0.1 kg/m2) and loose surface shape tolerances (surface accuracy requirements are on the order of magnitude of centimeter). Large-aperture telescopes using a membrane diffractive optical element as the primary lens have , light weight, and low cost at launch. In this paper, the research and development on space-based s are classified and summarized. First, the imaging theory and the configuration of diffractive-optics telescopes are discussed. Then, the developments in s are introduced. Finally, the development prospects for this technology used as a high-resolution space reconnaissance system in the future are summarized, and the critical and relevant work that China should carry out is put forward.
